Bachelor of Information Technology (Computer Science)
@ Queensland University of Technology
Web design and development, HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, SQL, WordPress, IT Project management, Agile project management, programming, python, C, C#, Networks, Programming principles, microprocessors.
For the final year major project I worked in a team to develop a WordPress theme using HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, and SQL, for a 'real-world' client. The task was to develop a modular website that could easily be modified by the client, for the purpose of promoting code camps in rural areas. Website had to facilitate galleries of photos taken at said code camps, in addition to providing a way for students to remain engaged with coding in between camps.
To manage the project, we used agile project management techniques; Practicing SCRUM principles, having regular meetings and discussions to manage and adapt to the uncertain and changing project requirements.

Bachelor of Fine Arts (Interactive and Visual Design)
@ Queensland University of Technology
Information visualisation, infographics, graphic design, branding, product design, design processes, typographic design, print design, marketing, web design, UX/UI design, Interface design, photography, lighting, drawing for animation, animatics, storyboarding.
Final major project involved designing a product or experience that aimed to address an existing issue that would benefit the Brisbane community and be viable in 2020.
Alongside a team of 4 other people, I developed an app design and prototype that would attempt to provide a more involved avenue for education during the covid pandemic where students of all age groups had to attend school online.
The app would encourage involvement with daily chores and activities within their household to assist parents and caregivers with the overwhelming frustrations associated with the lockdowns at the time. In addition, this would increase the activity and relationships within the household, and, depending on the age of the child, would help them learn more about the tasks of everyday life that otherwise may not be taught in school.
2019
Responsible Service of Alcohol & Responsible Gambling Service
@ Queensland Hotels Association
While attending university I gained an interest in Coffee and wanted to learn more in a proffessional context.
I had let my job-search provider at the time know and they suggested a hospitality course, noting that there would be a
café element to the course.
Although the café element was only a brief visit, I still learnt a lot about the hospitality industry and gained a couple of certificates in the process. I was also commended as the top student in my work performance when we were tasked with some work at a partner restaurant.
2018
Espresso Fundamentals & Advanced Barista Techniques
@ The Coffee Training Co. Noosa
While attending university I gained an interest in Coffee and wanted to learn more in a proffessional context.
So I found a local company that had some courses on coffee brewing and gained some new experiences and knowledge.
2014
Bachelor of Urban Development

Capstone @ QUT
| Web Developer (Work Experience)
This project was a final year project for IT students. Clients were sourced from various university partner companies for the purpose of providing real world experience to students. My team’s assigned client requested a web platform for engaging students in between code camps through interactive challenges.
Due to the client’s uncertainties we decided to use agile project management to iteratively develop the website to assist the client in developing a clearer idea of what he wanted. We faced many challenges along the way, but the resulting product was successful, and the client was satisfied with our work.

Mechanical Keyboards
I have taken an interest in building and customizing mechanichal keyboards. I enjoy learning about the components, switches, plates etc. As well as the variety in customizability.
-
PC Building
As a major in Computer Science, I am somewhat ashamed to say that I am quite new to building PCs. But it's always been on my todo list. I have recently purchased parts for a new PC and will be building one for my birthday this year. Besides building a PC, I have pulled apart and done repairs on a few old devices, including desktop PCs, Laptops, and Smartphones.
-
Graphic Design
I always enjoyed artistic fields in addition to the logical ones. Graphic design requires somewhat of a balance with the two. While I'm not at the skill level I aim to be at, I still enjoy analysing and reviewing my own and others designs.
-
Art & Illustration
From a young age I have enjoyed art and illustration. I believe I am at a moderate skill level, but my main focus has been programming, so I'm not at the level I would like to be.
-
Photography
After a few photography classes at uni I enjoyed creating interesting compositions and the control you get with a DSLR. So I acquired a camera and have taken quite a few photos. I enjoy taking photos of a variety of subjects, including landscapes, portraits, plant life and animals. Most of all I enjoy macro photography, it gives a different perspective on ordinary things we may take for granted.
-
Astronomy & Science
I enjoy learning about astronomy, space and all the crazy scary things out there. I have a variety of books on various topics that I like to learn about, the main one being Astronomy. But I also enjoy learning about physics, technology, forensics and the natural environment.
-
Puzzles
I know how to solve a Rubik’s cube (although, it's not that difficult once you know how). I always enjoy brain teasers and puzzles, and I so have a few in my inventory. I enjoy problem solving, coming up with optimal solutions for a given issue, and so puzzles are a very simplified version of that.
-
Bilingual
I am bilingual, my parents originate from eastern europe. But I am born and raised in Australia, so I consider myself an Australian.
-
Truck Driving
Probably an unusual one for a Tech/Design person, but my father is a retired truck driver and mechanic. So, a side-effect of that is, I got an LR Truck license just for fun.
-
Mechanical
The precursor to tech, the manual kind of machinery and functionality. My father is a retired mechanic, while I was on school holidays I would often help him out in the workshop. That said, he didn't want me learning how to be a mechanic, so I mostly did reception work and a bit of design and web development for him. Even so, I still picked up a few things from him, so now I do services on my own car, and some minor repairs.
